Empowering the
vulnerable elderly

Many of the elderly in Africa face unsafe living conditions and socioeconomic exclusion, while the rest of the population is burdened by the far-reaching effects of this exclusion. We connect the elderly to safer homes, access to care, and suitable financial support.

Sandair Consulting — Together, better people, better businesses, better world

Who we are

Sandair Consulting is a dedicated social enterprise committed to ensuring the socioeconomic inclusion of the vulnerable elderly population. Through Live, Care, and Lend, we bring together safer living, access to care, and suitable financial support for the elderly.

Who we serve

We passionately serve the elderly population, including pensioners, in both the public and private sectors. We also work with families, care providers, and partners, supporting their well-being.

What we do

Our products, programs, and services help the elderly live safely and independently, access appropriate care and explore income sources and financial support tailored to their needs. We coordinate home assessments, adaptations and maintenance, offer access to a care provider network, and connect the elderly to suitable economic pathways.

Our Services

We help the elderly live more safely and independently at home, from assessment to installation. We coordinate the practical pathway.

  • Age-friendly homes, non-slip surfaces and safer access
  • Home safety assessments, lighting, handrails and emergency alerts
  • Assistive technology, optional consent-based connectivity and energy support
  • A local delivery and maintenance network
  • Age-friendly housing fund to support eligible adaptations

We offer a network of elderly care providers bringing together non-medical home care services and medical care service providers. We help families identify providers by location and care needs, with clear provider information and a transparent inquiry and referral process.

  • Non-medical home care and medical care services
  • Location-based provider discovery
  • Provider information, referrals and a feedback pathway

Listing in the network does not imply clinical verification or endorsement. Families should confirm a provider’s qualifications and suitability.

We help the elderly explore suitable income sources. Income sources, financial products, and structured support. We connect their needs with potential pensions and social protection, family and diaspora support, while developing Sandair’s own funding capacity.

  • Access to eligible pensions, income sources and financial products
  • Family, diaspora, philanthropic and institutional support
  • Responsible finance with affordability and housing-security safeguards

Funding and eligibility depend on the programme and individual circumstances. A future support pool and stipends are being explored.

“for many persons, living longer also means living with scarcity for longer periods of time. Poverty in old age is a key issue of concern.”
